Our Weekend Tour package is designed for riders who want high level guiding through fantastic terrain with the reassurance of full support and back up. Ride all day with the vehicle on hand to carry your spares. Your luggage will be waiting at the next B&B.
A good level of fitness and cycling experience is required to enjoy this break.
Thursday – PM collection from Sheffield train station. Travel to Ladybower Reservoir. B&B accommodation with evening meals available. Rider safety briefing and discussion of 3 guided rides.
Friday – Ride 1. Ladybower Reservoir > Holmfirth. Approx. 75 miles / 120km. 2100m elevation gain. Taking in Strines Moor road, Jackson Bridge (National Hill Climb course 2015), Scapegoat Hill, Cragg Vale (longest continual ascent in the UK), Isle of Skye. Café stop for lunch mid ride. B&B accommodation in Holmfirth with multiple options for an evening meal.
Saturday – Ride 2. Holmfirth > Bakewell. Approx. 75 miles / 120km. 2225m elevation gain. Highlights include Holme Moss (used recently in TDF and TDY), Monks road, Long Hill, Goyt Valley, Cat & Fiddle and Monsal Head. Another lovely café stop for lunch mid ride. B&B accommodation in Bakewell with multiple options for an evening meal.
Sunday – Ride 3. Bakewell > Sheffield. Approx 62 miles / 100km. 1425m elevation gain. To include Curbar Gap, Winnats Pass, Edale and the Hope Valley. Here comes your well-earned final café stop. PM travel from outskirts Sheffield to Sheffield train station.
