" After taking up cycling at the grand old age of 45, my wife and I decided we wanted to climb some Spanish mountains. We called on Russ to guide us, as this is where he is experienced and has great knowledge of the areas best routes. What a fantastic help it was to us both, but me in particular, as I am no mountain goat. He gave us lots of advise and encouragement as we climbed, looking after us, all the way to the top. Cannot recommend him highly enough, great services, great guy, and now our friend. Thanks Russ. "

" I had a Big race season planned for 2016 so was after a big winter of hard miles to set me up with this. I was recommended Ciclo Magic at their winter base in the Costa Blanca in Spain. I had my first visit out just before christmas where I met Russ and Frankie. I explained what I was after and Russ tailored the week perfectly to my needs taking in some awesome hilly rides along with some good cafe stops (always important) I returned to see them again in late March where more sunny miles were done at a higher intensity. It must have worked because I won one National jersey and one World Champs jersey. Im looking forward to using them again. Cheers guys. "

" My girlfriend and I spent a week with Russell and Frankie at Ciclo Magic. The whole aim of the trip was to get away from the cold January wetness and do some riding in the lovely Costa Blanca weather. Russell took me on some superb road rides, I was even rented a MTB for a spot of mountain biking and taken round some local dusty trails. We were looked after like royalty, my girlfriend doesn't ride and was kept entertained, took round local towns, beaches and taken out for food. I really couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday. We will be back "

" Iv'e done a few training camps in my time, but this year’s Team 22 camp was the best one ever, great organisation and support from Russ & Frankie. Why Team 22 chose Ciclo Magic to run their 2017 training camp. There are a number of factors that we took into consideration when choosing the location and hosts for our 2017 training camp. Ultimately, we could have gone anywhere in Europe and with just about anyone, surely a training camp is just about riding the bike and getting the miles in? Well, actually no. In our opinion a training camp has a number of element that have to be right in order to give our athletes the best possible start to their 2017 road season. Experience - Ciclo Magic ticked all the experience boxes for us, not only have they a wealth of experience in running training camps, but more importantly both Frankie and Russ have a wealth of experience in racing bikes. Their day to day advice about riding, racing and technique whilst on the rides proved invaluable. But alongside that they were able to provide sound advice about the UK and Belgian racing scene at the end of the day and for many of our riders taking their first steps into junior or U23 racing that proved a valuable asset. Location - For us a training camp should be about more than miles. It should be an opportunity to fine tune tactics and skills for the coming season. There were a number of areas we wanted to cover and being based in Calpe gave us the opportunity to do just that. We had big Vuelta mountain days, to give the team some memorable days on some of the world’s toughest climbs, we had rolling days, we had a flat day working on our TTT skills and perhaps most popular of all an easy day rolling along the coast stopping for ice cream and cake. It was the variety of terrain that swung the location for us and it was Ciclo Magic’s experience that clinched the deal. "

" I was with a group guided by Russell. He made such an impression that we've remained in contact ever since. Varied routes, something different every day, and everyone's training needs met. We always came back smiling "

" I had been suffering from poor health and as a result my fitness levels had dropped way below where they would normally have been. With these health issues I had been having, I wasn’t able to make my initial booking with Ciclomagic. Russ was very accommodating and understanding and made it easy for me to re book my trip and he did this at no charge and made everything effortless. Finally, the day had come and I was able to make the flight and I was met by Russ at Alicante airport. From that very moment onwards, all my needs were taken care of by Russ and Frankie. I had arrived on a late flight and when I arrived at the villa, dinner was waiting on the table, along with one of the best glasses of red wine I have tasted, spot on. Over dinner we discussed the health issues that I had been having and all my dietary needs post illness. We also discussed what it was I was needing from my trip and together, we planned my first of two weeks to be spent in their hospitality. Monday morning, I awoke to the splendour of sunshine and an amazing view of Calpe rock and the ocean. I went back inside to find an array of breakfast goodies, cereal, porridge, fruit and fresh coffee. This was what I became accustomed to every morning and I never tired of it. Post breakfast, we planned a route and got ready and then we were out on the amazing Spanish roads. The roads there were super smooth and quiet. The Spanish drivers are so different compared to the drivers in the UK, and will patiently wait behind you, not getting frustrated and will only overtake when it’s safe to do so. Perfect if you are new to cycling. On this particular day, it was windy and Russ, being the super strong rider he is, he let me suck his wheel all the way till the headwind eased, which brought on his new saying, “he guides, we ride” On our return from our ride, Frankie had put together and amazing selection of fresh fruit, fresh salad, baked potatoes, homemade cake, and my all-time favourite, Spanish omelette. If there was something else I wanted, I just had to ask. Nothing was too much hassle. Then it was feet up time. I could either catch up on social media (free Wi-Fi included) watch TV, nap, go for a walk, but the emphasis was on recovery. Dinner was again, as breakfast and lunch, an awesome home cooked meal with all the trimmings. Frankie really went out of her way with accommodating my dietary requirements and even made special diary free deserts. Every day was like this on my trip. We discussed and measured my fatigue and chose the routine for the day accordingly. When there was a large group of us, the needs of the group were often different, but always, each group had a guide (Russ or Frankie) with them and everyone felt looked after. On one of the days, it rained and we all got very wet. The route was shortened and we all made our way back to the villa. After lunch and recovery, I decided that I better go and pay some attention to my bike after all the rain. I went outside to find that Russ had taken all 7 bikes apart and had cleaned all the grime off and was preparing them for our ride the next day. I said not to worry but he insisted that we all recover and that this was part of the service. TOP MAN. I cannot stress enough how great my trip was and I highly recommend them. My entire two weeks that I spent with Russ and Frankie was amazing. They are both amazing, genuine people and just love to ride their bikes and look after their guests. I wish them all the very best for the future and look forward to many, many more trips spent with Ciclo Magic "

" I spent a week out with Frankie and Russell in April and had such brilliant time I've been planning another trip ever since my return. Three generous home cooked meals a day, two exceptionally kind hosts and more riding than you could shake a bike pump at. On the bike Russell motivated me to squeeze out every mile I could manage during my stay. His experience and passion for the sport really shines through and riding with him and Frankie was a true pleasure. Off the bike Frankie and Russell would take me to the beach every afternoon and made sure I had everything I wanted so I could put my feet up and relax. Thank you for such an awesome time. "
